The DSPCA is asking members of the public not to feed seagulls, pigeons, foxes or any other city dwelling animals.
It's also asking people and business owners to dispose of waste food securely, so small creatures can't gain access to it.
Dublin City has been quiet during lockdown, with no easily accessible food source.
Therefore the creatures have moved away from the centre in search of dinner.
Additionally, DSPCA spokesperson Gillian Bird says they're better off away from the middle of Dublin:
“There has been a huge decrease in the numbers of calls to the DSPCA for sick or injured seagulls, pigeons, foxes, etc. with lockdown.”
“This has to be related to a reduction in available food which has reduced populations or moved many animal types out of the city."
"The food waste available to the animals has been greatly reduced."
"Only now with pubs, restaurants, and hotels opening up again will we see an increase in animal activity.
"We can do something now to stop the issues of the past becoming a problem again.”
