€1.3m worth of drugs have been seized in Smithfield in Dublin.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the haul that included cocaine and amphetamine.
As part of Operation Tara, gardaí searched an apartment on Ann Street North in Dublin 7 on Sunday.
There they uncovered €280,000 worth of Cocaine, Diamorphine worth €168,000 and an estimated 120,000 euro of Amphetamine.
Another 800-thousand euro worth of the drugs were discovered when a car was searched at the same location.
The raid also uncovered 6,000 euro in cash, a hydraulic press, weighing scales and a small quantity of ammunition.
Two men aged in their 30s and 50s were arrested at the scene and taken to the Bridewell Garda Station where they can be held for up to 7 days.
Investigation
A garda spokesperson says: "Gardaí seized approximately €1.3 Million of drugs in the Dublin 7 area, on Sunday, 18th December 2022.
"Gardaí attached to Bridewell Garda Station Detective Unit and Regular Unit searched an apartment on Ann Street North.
"During the course of this search €280,000 Cocaine, €168,000 Diamorphine and €120,000 Amphetamine was recovered.
"The search of a vehicle at this location resulted in the recovery of an additional €315,000 Cocaine, €70,000 Diamorphine and €420,000 amphetamine.
"In addition €6,000 in cash, a hydraulic press, weighing scales and other drug paraphernalia was seized. A small quantity of ammo was also recovered.
"The drugs will be sent for further analysis.
"Two men aged in their 30s and 50s were arrested at the scene and taken to the Bridewell Garda Station where they are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
"Investigations are ongoing."
