A young driver is being slapped with penalty points after being caught speeding behind an ambulance.
The 19-year-old was caught doing more than 120 km/hr.
Gardaí in Ardee detected the driver on the M1.
Gardaí stopped the car after a short pursuit.
The driver, who was not connected with the ambulance emergency, is now being issued with penalty points.
Dublin Fire Brigade says its not uncommon for drivers to speed behind ambulances, which it says puts the safety of everyone in danger.
