A recount in the Dublin European constituency is going ahead.
The Green Party Leader and former Communications Minister Eamon Ryan requested the recount in the early hours of this morning.
It was after he was deemed to have been beaten to the third seat by Fine Gael's Brian Hayes by just over 11 hundred votes.
Much of the focus for the recount will be on over 6-thousand spoiled votes out of a total poll of over 300-thousand votes.
Sinn Feins Lynn Boylan claimed the first seat and Independent Nessa Childers also took a seat.
