A Garda investigation is underway after a father and son were shot in Ballyfermot last night.
The men are being treated for non-life threatening injuries after being attacked at Clifden Drive.
The capital's latest gun attack happened at around 10.20 last night at a housing estate not far from the main Ballyfermot road.
It's believed they were both shot in the back.
The victims, a father and son, were rushed to nearby St. James Hospital where their injuries were last night described as non-life threatening.
The area where the shooting happened has been sealed off and will remain under guard until a technical examination of the scene is carried out.
That's due to get underway later today and a burned out car found nearby will also be tested for clues.
Gardai expect the men to pull through and are eager to speak to them about the shooting as soon as their doctors allow them to do so.
In the meantime, anyone with information is asked to contact their local Garda station or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
