DIT is selling the buildings which house its Cathal Brugha Street campus.
It's pushing ahead with plans to relocate the college for chefs and hotel managers to Grangegorman.
It's believed the iconic building just off O'Connell Street will be put on the market for 15 to 20 million euro.
It consists of two properties, the original early 1940s art deco style building fronting on to Cathal Brugha Street, Marlborough Street and Thomas Lane and a connected 1990s building onto Marlborough Street.
It comes a week after the adjoining Gresham Hotel was put up for sale.
