The Social Protection Committee will today consider whether the Government should extend the eligibility for certain employment activation schemes, such as JobBridge and the Back to Education Allowance.
These are currently only available to people in receipt of social welfare - but there are thousands of people who are unemployed - but who are not receiving any assistance from the State.
