Around 200 people gathered in Fairview last night, to attend a rally in support of refugees.
Game of Thrones actor Liam Cunningham was among those in attendance at "The Northside Welcomes Refugees" demonstration.
A counter-demonstration with about 40 attendees took place nearby.
East Wall native Liam Cunningham outlined his reasons for coming out to the demonstration...
''To turn your back on people in need, running from war, running from pain, running from misery...The LGBT community who are terrorised in places where they come from... is an absolute disgrace. I couldn't look at myself in the mirror if I didn't support people like that.''
