Demand For Dublin Homes Grows By Up To 50% In Some Areas

New data shows more private landlords are leaving the rental market, as demand grows for homes in Dublin.

Dublin 10 saw the biggest increase in inquiries about rental accommodation last year according to myhome.ie.

Figures from myhome.ie show demand for rental accommodation in Dublin increased by 13% last year - and was up over 50% in some areas.

Dublin 10, covering Ballyfermot and Cherry Orchard, saw a 62% jump in inquiries on the property website.

Properties uploaded to the site from private landlords dropped by 39% last year.

It follows a daft.ie report that shows average rents in Dublin now stand at just over €2,000 - while there are just 712 properties available to rent.
