Dublin West by-election candidate David Hall says he won’t let a massive blackmail scandal deter him from canvassing.
The extortion attempt centres around a video clip of Hall which was filmed in a Dublin casino in 2007.
The details of the footage were published in today’s Sunday World.
He claims he received phonecalls demanding €10,000 for the video to be handed over.
Hall visited Blanchardstown Garda Station on Friday to make a statement on the issue and has added that this is a sinister side of politics:
