The Dart Underground from Inchicore to the Docklands is back on track.
Its reported this morning that Irish Rail is planning to press ahead with the 2 billion euro project.
Once build this 7.6 kilometre line will have stops at Inchicore, Heuston, Christchurch, Stephens Green, Pearse Street and the Docklands.
According to the Herald, it has the capacity to treble passenger numbers annually.
Now Irish Rail has started sending letters to 5000 homes and business owners in the city centre about acquiring land under compulsory purchase orders after a recent high court decision oked the project.
The Department of Transport says that its delivery is dependent on funding.
