Drugs officers say an extremely dangerous chemical is continuing to be used to make ecstacy.

PMMA is stronger, but takes longer to kick in than MDMA, which is what's often found in pills.

It's been linked to the deaths of a number of people in recent weeks.

It's found in pills known as Green Rolexes, Green Apples, White Mitsubishis, Double Crosses and Double Blacks.

Detective Seargent Brian Roberts from the Garda National Drugs Unit  says this is 'a public health concern and the devastating consequences of drug death is something we need to see less of in this country'.
