A cyclist is in a critical condition after a hit and run in Dublin.
The man, who is in his early twenties, was cycling at around 9 o'clock last night on Sheriff Street Upper, when he was struck by a car.
An ambulance took him to Beaumont hospital where he’s understood to be in critical condition this morning.
The car failed to stop at the scene.
However, a vehicle matching its description was found abandoned a short distance away on Guild Street.
It's since been removed for a forensic examination.
Gardaí at Store Street are now appealing for any witnesses to the crash to contact them.
They are particularly appealing to anyone with video footage - including dash cam - from the location to make it available to them.
