A care home employee, who failed to disclose her positive Covid-19 test result, has been linked to an outbreak at a Dublin facility.
According to the Irish Independent, it's understood that an elderly female resident and a staff member have been infected, while another four workers are self isolating.
A major investigation into the outbreak has now been launched.
Elsewhere a Dublin pub has shut after a staff member tested positive for Covid-19.
Slattery's in Beggars Bush says all workers are now being checked for the infection and that the bar will remain closed until further notice.
Slattery’s Pub D4 will be closed today and until further notice, due to a part-time staff member testing positive for COVID-19. We are taking a pro-active approach to ensure that staff follow self-isolation and contact tracing protocols.
