Health Minister Simon Harris is opening a new Covid-19 assessment hub for vulnerable communities in Dublin today.
It will be based in the Mater Hospital and will be aimed at marginalised groups in the inner city.
The new hub will include a mobile unit to test and treat people, and deliver results in under an hour.
It comes amid a high number of cases among the Traveller and Roma communities, as well as among asylum-seekers.
58 per cent of Roma people who have been tested have had positive results for Covid-19, while 43 per cent of Travellers that were checked, had the virus.
