Fifty-nine more people have died from the coronavirus here.
The latest figures show there were 229 new confirmed cases in Ireland today.
It brings the death toll to 1,159 - while the number of confirmed cases is now 19,877.
It comes as Cabinet ministers had differing views on how restrictions should be eased over the coming weeks.
Some expressed concern about the social and economic impact of continuing the restrictions as they are.
While other ministers were more firm in their belief that, until the health situation improves, the current restrictions should stay in place.
Ministers are due to meet again on Friday - where they'll likely be asked to sign off on an extension of the current restrictions, with minimal easing.
