A court has heard that a man accused of murdering his former partner in Clonsilla hit her a few months beforehand.
Vesel Jahiri, who has an address at Lohunda Crescent in Clonsilla, denies stabbing Anna Finnegan to death in September 2012.
Anna Finnegan, a 25-year-old mother of two, died after being stabbed at her home in Allendale Glen in Clonsilla.
The father of her children Vesel Jahiri is accused of breaking down her front door and attacking her brother Karl before stabbing her in the chest.
Karl Finnegan claims he tried to defend himself with a chair before being stabbed in the head and chest.
Yesterday, the jury heard that Mr. Jahiri told the victim's sister that he was "coming for her next".
Today, they court heard that Anna was admitted to hospital a few months beforehand after the accused hit her.
Previously, the prosecution described how their ten year relationship deteriorated in the lead up to her death and that access to their children was a key aspect of the case.
Mr. Jahiri denies murdering her and claims she was stabbed while he was trying to stop her brother from attacking him with some knives.
