South Dublin County Councillor Paddy Holohan is no longer a member of Sinn Fein.
The former MMA fighter has opted not to renew his membership with the party.
He revealed the news in a video on his Instagram today.
Last year, Holohan was suspended from Sinn Fein after he made a number of controversial comments on his own podcast.
Holohan says he will now serve as a member of South Dublin County Council as an Independent.
