The head of housing at Dublin city council has warned that people living in local authority homes face eviction for organising large parties on council property.
It follows an outdoor rave involving around a hundred people at the Oliver Bond flat complex on Saturday night.
The party, that had a DJ and marquee, is being investigated by Gardaí.
DCC's Brendan Kenny told the Irish Times it was very depressing to see and that while evictions are a last resort, they are a route open to the council.
Fianna Fáil Senator Catherine Ardagh says it's not the only rave happening;
"I know these organised raves aren't a new phenomena, they happen during the summer in parks around the city but there seems to be a Covid party type phenomena rave going on at the moment and I think if we had more Gardaí on the street, they wouldn't gather in the first place."
Senator Ardagh says she has written to the Garda Commissioner Drew Harris asking that he publish a policing plan for the capital, covering the remainder of the restrictions, so that the scenes over the weekend are not replicated.
