There have been 575 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Ireland.
45 further deaths have also been reported today - 41 of which occurred in February, and four which occurred in January.
The median age of those who died was 84 years, while the age range was 55-104 years.
Of the new cases confirmed today, 218 were in Dublin, 38 in Galway, 35 in Louth, 27 in Limerick, 26 in Westmeath and the remaining 231 cases were spread across 20 other counties.
The national 14-day incidence rate is now 240 per 100,000 population.
Figures released today show there are now 693 COVID-19 patients in Irish hospitals, including 150 in ICU.
Just under 220,000 people have now received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Today's figures come after Cabinet agreed to extend the level five lockdown until at least April 5th.
