Condolences are being sent to the Keating family following the death Ciaran Keating in a road crash over the weekend.
Ciaran, who was in his 50s, was the older brother of singer and presenter Ronan Keating.
The two car collision happened on Saturday afternoon as Ciaran and his wife Ann Marie drove from their home in Westport, Co. Mayo to Sligo.
They were on the way to watch their son play a football for Cork City. Ruairi Keating recently signed a three year contract with the club.
The incident happened at a black spot on the N5 at Ballymiles outside Swinford. Ciaran suffered fatal injuries while the driver of the second vehicle was taken to Mayo University Hospital for serious injuries.
Ann Marie Keating and the passenger of the other car were treated for non life threatening injuries.
