The Health Minister says the number of healthcare college places need to be doubled, if the HSE is to reach its recruitment targets.
Stephen Donnelly says there are 18 thousand more healthcare professionals working within the HSE now than before covid.
He says achieving universal healthcare remains his primary goal.
