Clonskeagh Mosque has opened its doors to homeless people in Dublin during the snow and wind storm.
The Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland is inviting those in need to take shelter in its large events hall as people are warned to stay indoors.
After providing shelter during Storm Ophelia and a polar low in November, the mosque is again offering people a place to stay, sleeping bags and warm meals.
Summayah Kenna, Head of Community Welfare Department with the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland, explained that they are working closely with Dublin City Council and homeless organisations to be able to provide the service.
"We will have a security team on duty at night, and maintenance teams have been alerted to make sure there is sufficient heating in the building, especially late at night", she said.
Those taking shelter in the large events hall will be given vouchers which will allow them claim two warm meals a day from the mosque's in-house restaurant.
Sleeping bags will also be provided to those seeking shelter between 5pm on Tuesday February 27th to 10am on Sunday 4th March. Those hours will be extended, depending on weather conditions.
Anyone wishing to avail of shelter during the noted period are welcome at the Islamic Cultural Centre of Ireland, 19 Roebuck Road, Clonskeagh, Dublin 14.
