A 33 year old Clondalkin man has been charged in connection with a heroin haul worth almost 1 million euro.
Keith Byrne with an address at Greenfort Crescent, has been granted bail.
The court heard that Mr. Byrne and another man were arrested yesterday afternoon at Castlebaggot in Newcastle after gardai seized 6 kilos of heroin worth 900 thousand euro.
The 'intelligence-led operation' was targeting drug gangs in Clondalkin and Ballyfermot.
The court was told that Byrne made no reply when charged with possessing the drugs for sale or supply at Clondalkin Garda station last night.
Bail and legal aid were granted and the case has been put back until June 19th.
The other man arrested was released without charge.
