A centre set-up to help young people in west Dublin look after their horses is facing closure.
The Clondalkin Equine Club, that was opened in 2017, says it's in danger of shutting within the next three months if it can't get additional funding.
It's the only purpose built club of it's kind in the country and provides stables for the horses of local children, while also promoting animal welfare and encouraging participants to stay in school.
The club is appealing to the Government to provide core funding and is also asking the private sector to assist with costs in order to save the facility.
In a statement it says €60,000 in core funding is needed every year to allow it to develop and to continue serving the community.
