A clean up operation is underway as households and businesses count the cost of flood damage.
High tides, heavy rain and gale force winds caused severe flooding in parts of the West and South west yesterday.
Thousands of homes were also left without power yesterday and ESB crews have been working through the night to restore supplies to the last few hundred customers.
