Dublin City Council and McDonald's are teaming up to form Grafton Street's Clean Team.
The council is encouraging people to dispose of waste responsibly, especially over the June Bank Holiday weekend.
They have provided McDonald's with cleaning equipment to collect and dispose of rubbish on the high street this afternoon.
Grafton Street is currently being repaved in a 4million euro initiative which includes street furniture and new public lighting.
The project is expected to be completed by November 2014.
