The Taoiseach Enda Kenny has wished the people of Ireland a happy Christmas.
In a holiday message he’s recognised that Christmas is a tough time for those who are bereaved and who are missing their loved ones abroad.
But he says he’s confident that the state of the nation will improve next year.
