The chief executive of the Central Remedial Clinic has resigned after controversy surrounding private top-up payments to some senior staff.
Brian Conlon had been due to take questions from TDs later this week about the practice, which has been banned by the H-S-E.
Mr Conlon did not himself receive private salary top-ups, but the HSE had criticised his appointment - saying there was no external competition.
