The Dail will hold a special debate this evening on the alleged bugging of the Garda Siochana Ombudsman Commission.
Ninety minutes has been set aside for TD's to discuss the allegations.
It comes as the Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors calls on the chairman of the Garda Siochana Ombudsman Commission to resign.
The AGSI says Simon O'Brien should consider his position over the handling of the bugging allegations at the GSOC headquarters.
The Garda Representative Association is calling for an independent inquiry into the security of the data the Garda watchdog holds.
The GRA says any breaches at GSOC could threaten the personal safety of the officers it represents.
Meanwhile Fianna Fail leader Micheal Martin says relationships between the Government, Gardaí and Ombudsman Commission are now at an all-time low.
