The Children Minister says he wants an inquiry into Mother and Baby homes to be up and running before the Dail's summer break.
The issue made fresh headlines earlier this month following the discovery of a mass grave in Tuam County Galway.
Charlie Flanagan is urging people who want to make submissions to get in touch.
Organisations and individuals who want an institution to be included should do so as quickly as possible.
Minister Flanagan also says he will meet key advocacy groups and have further meetings with other political parties in the next couple of weeks, to move the commission forward.
