Dublin Chamber says the rollout of safe cycling infrastructure in the city isn't happening fast enough.
The business group has written to the Transport Minister expressing frustration over the delay in bringing in projects like the Liffey Cycle Route and Fitzwilliam Cycle Route.
The number of cyclists in Dublin has risen by 150% over the past 12 years, but the group believes cycling infrastructure in the city is still inadequate.
Dublin Chamber spokesperson, Graeme McQueen says it's too dangerous for people on bikes at the moment:
He says "What we're hearing from our members and companies in the city is that it needs to become safer to cycle in the city. There's lots of people who would like to cycle but they just think it's too unsafe at the moment, so what we're calling on is for the Minister to speed up the delivery of segregated cycle lanes across the city, that would mean that thousands more people would be able to cycle to and from work and to get around the city."
