Fire services had a busy night in Dublin with 175 staff working through to the early hours.
Most of the call-outs were bonfire related...although the window of one fire tender was smashed while fire services were dealing with a call-out in Kilbarrack - and fire crews were also called to a blaze at Airways Industrial Estate in Swords this morning, however this is not believed to be bonfire-related.
Free family-friendly events planned by communities and the council again proved successful - and have been credited with reducing the number of Halloween related incidents in recent years.
