The Leaving Cert results are out for 61,000 thousand students this morning.
Over half of this year's grades have been boosted. That's to fulfil a Government promise that the class of 2022 won't do any worse than last year's record marks.
Results are available online and in schools from 10 am after the first full sitting of the exams since before the covid-19 pandemic.
A special helpline set up by the National Parents Council Post-Primary will be open from 2 o'clock this afternoon to provide guidance and advice on 1800 265 165.
Education Minister Norma Foley says support is also available for students through their schools;
“There have been challenges over the course of your Senior Cycle experiences, but you have all proven yourselves to be mature and resilient people. No matter what results you receive today, you should be very proud of your accomplishments."
