Stationless bike rental scheme, BleeperBike, has seen a three fold increase in usage in one part of Dublin during the coronavirus lockdown.
It recorded a 383 per cent increase in Fingal last month, compared to March.
The company says it believes it's down to a shift in behaviour when it comes to transport and health, as well as an increase in bike parking infrastructure.
#BleeperBike usage in #Fingal recorded a 383% increase in April compared to that of March. This has been attributed to a shift in human behaviour in relation to transport & health along with the continued increase in #bike parking infrastructure from @Fingalcoco #FingalCycling pic.twitter.com/fTkuDrdpaj

The firm says there's has been a significant spike in the Dublin 15 area, primarily the Ongar to Blanchardstown route.
CEO Hugh Cooney says residential areas in Dublin city have also seen an increase in trips;
"You've the cycle way in Clontarf is up quite a bit but otherwise Dublin city is kind of steady rather than increasing, and I guess we lost our customers in April that would have been using them Monday to Friday to get to and from work."
The dockless scheme allows people to unlock a bike and pay for journeys through an app.
