A Galway historian has offered to share her research on the mass grave of babies uncovered in Tuam with a government inquiry into the scandal.
Catherine Corless has critisised the speculative nature of media headlines in recent days claiming 800 children had been "dumped" at the Bon Secours home between 1925 and 1961.
