Gardai are investigating an attempted raid of an ATM at a shopping centre in Knocklyon.
The alarm was raised at around 4am this morning when a gang tried to rip the machine from the wall.
Its thought an explosive device was used to dislodge the ATM, as a loud bang was heard.
It's believed that nothing was taken and Gardai at Rathfarnham are investigating.
