Apple has removed the new HMV iPhone app from its App Store.
It allows users to buy music from HMV, and listen to it using their iTunes library.
The music chain says the technology giant had "approved the exact same version" last month.
Apple has confirmed the app has been removed for "violating App Store guidelines".
HMV says it's working on an updated version for Apple's approval.
