A new unit’s been opened at Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown which will take the pressure off its A&E.
The Acute Medical Assessment Unit cost a million Euro to build and will treat patients faster with early diagnosis and xrays.
The hospital has also opened their MRI unit meaning patients there no longer have to be sent to another hospital to have the scan.
Hospital Manager Mary Walsh says the AMAU is playing a huge part in patient care at Connolly.
