The Health Minister is downplaying hopes of an end to austerity.
It's after the ESRI predicted improved economic growth this year and said the Government could get through the next Budget without introducing new taxes or cuts.
However, Minister James Reilly says the job isn’t done and the fiscal consolidation must continue.
The ESRI's latest Quarterly outlook painted the picture of an economy very much on the up.
It forecast economic growth of 3-point-5 per cent in 2014 and 3-point-7 per cent next year.
It says Ireland is recovering “quite vigorously” from the downturn and the age of austerity is almost over.
The ESRI says the Government could go without introducing new taxes or cuts in Budget 2015.
However James Reilly says that’s not going to happen he says the Job’s not done yet.
