Gardaí in Dublin are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which claimed the life of a woman in Balbriggan this afternoon.
The crash happened at 12:30pm on the main Dublin Rd.
The female pedestrian in her 30's was fatally injured when struck by a vehicle.
A child who was with her was injured and was taken to Temple Street Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle was removed to Beaumont Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The road is currently closed pending a garda forensic collision investigation.
