Gardaí in Dublin have seized a number of scramblers and a quad bike as part of a planned operation.
It followed a number of incidents that saw local parks damaged and members of the public being put in danger.
Gardaí carried out this planned operation yesterday morning, targeting the illegal use of scrambler bikes in the Ballyfermot and Clondalkin areas.
Five homes were searched under a warrant. It came on the back of ongoing investigations into a number of incidents of criminal damage in public parks and endangerment to members of the public by people using the high powered motorbikes.
As a result, seven scramblers and one quad bike were seized. Two of the bikes have been confirmed as stolen and Gardaí are in the process of reuniting them with their rightful owners.
No one was arrested during yesterday's raids and Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
