Well known homeless campaigner Sister Stan says the suffering of homeless families in Ireland is shocking.
Focus Ireland - has launched its Christmas appeal by parking a poster van outside Government Buildings this morning.
Newly released figures indicate that 72 families became homeless in Ireland in the month of October alone.
On Friday - it was revealed there are now more than one thousand four hundred children in emergency accommodation.
