72 cases of Covid-19 have been identified among homeless people in Dublin since March.

Up to September, more than 1,000 people accessing emergency accommodation or rough sleeping in Dublin have been tested for Covid-19.

The Dublin Region Homeless Executive says two deaths relating to the virus were reported in a Long-Term Supported Accommodation Facility.

240 people are residing in shielding facilities in Dublin, which are aimed at the most at-risk homeless people who are older and more vulnerable.

The DRHE and the HSE say a system is in place to deal with all suspected or confirmed cases that occur within homeless services in the Dublin Region, including a dedicated homeless testing service, referral and transportation to isolation facilities where required.
