Dublin Airport says security queues are around 45 minutes in both terminals as 50,000 people fly abroad, many of them sports fans heading to France.
Liverpool are taking on Real Madrid in Paris tonight, with Leinster are in Champions Cup action against La Rochelle in Marseille before that.
The DAA says a controlled queueing system' is in place today at the airport, with passengers lined up outside the terminal building earlier on their way into security.
In a statement, spokesperson for the DAA Graeme McQueen said:
"As well as our regular travellers, we’re seeing lots of Leinster and Liverpool fans heading off to France this morning to watch their respective teams in European action. Overall, passengers were in good form, with those who heeded our advice – to get to the airport up to 2.5 hours ahead of a short-haul flight and 3.5 hours before a long-haul flight – getting through security smoothly and in plenty of time prior to their flight.”
