500 more puppies will be saved in Dublin every year.
Dogs Trust has launched a new dedicated Puppy Wing at its Dublin Rehoming Centre.
The state of the art designed new puppy wing is in response to surging levels of puppies being abandoned in Ireland.
The new Puppy Wing will be a home to 6 mothers, their puppies and up to an additional 30 puppies at any one time, providing the veterinary care, socialisation and, most importantly, loving care needed to get these puppies on their paws and ultimately into loving homes.
The new puppy wing will also create 7 new jobs including specialist puppy canine carers and veterinary staff.
Construction is currently under way with the facility expected to open in early this summer.
