Five of the six driving test centres with the worst pass rates in the country are in Dublin.
Less than 40 per cent of learner drivers passed their test in the Nenagh test centre in Co Tipperary last year.
The next five lowest were all in Dublin, with Finglas, Charlestown, Raheny and two centres in Mulhuddart all below 46 per cent.
Nearly twice as many people passed in Loughrea in Co Galway, which had a rate of 75 per cent.
Dave Humphreys is the road test editor of completecar.ie. He says Dublin learners face more challenges when sitting their tests;
"Down the country there's probably going to be less people or fewer people actually taking the test so there's probably fewer tests taking place there and the roads generally can be a little bit less busy, maybe they're a little bit more familiar with where they are."
