Up until midday yesterday 180 reports of bonfire materials had been made by the public to the city council's citizen hub.
Inspections and storage sites have also been discovered by Council staff, while a number of departments within the local authority have been removing stockpiles over the last 10 days.
In that time 450 tonnes of materials have been collected, that's up on last year.
Anyone who comes across stockpiles is being urged to report them to the city council.
