Three companies have announced they're creating 400 jobs in Dublin.

The biggest jobs announcement today is coming from Swissport. The handling agents at Dublin Airport need 200 customer service staff, ramp handlers, security operatives, flight dispatchers and cabin cleaners.

On the Southside, pharmaceutical research firm APC is expanding its base at Cherrywood Business park.

Brian Glennon, co-founder of the company, is looking to fill 100 hi-tech roles: "We're heavily recruiting scientists, engineers, at PHD level in particular. We have a big number of PHD chemists and scientists and that's really going to be reflected in our recruitment over the next few years".

In the third jobs announcement of the day for Dublin, Dalata - which runs the Maldron and Clayton hotels as well Tara Towers - has announced that it is recruiting 100 new staff. They'll be based at hotel which is yet to be buit on the site of the old Charlemont Clinic in Dublin 2.

The group has been given planning permission should open for business in 2018.
