This year's Dublin Marathon has been cancelled because of the coronavirus.
The race was due to be held on October 25th but it's been called off "in the best interest of the health and well being of all those involved".
Organisers say they looked at a number of alternatives to run the event safely but none were viable.
Jim Aughney Race Director said;
"We know this is extremely disappointing for all runners, especially those who secured marathon entries. We made the difficult decision in the best interest of the health and wellbeing of all those involved in making our events such a success from runners, supporters, volunteers, sponsors, to suppliers."
A record 25,000 people were due to take part.
All entries for the 2020 KBC Dublin Marathon and the Race Series will be valid for the 2021 races. While refunds are also available.
